Committees

If you are interested in joining any of these committees, please contact our Volunteer Services Manager at (850) 434-5456 or [ email ].

Meetings are once or twice a month, in addition to scheduled applicant home visits as needed.

The committee organizes and carries out application, interview, and selection processes. We find the families who fit the criteria of need for shelter, ability to make no-interest loan payments, and ability to partner with Habitat for Humanity.
 

Meets once a month, in addition to communication with assigned family partners as needed.

Works with families through sweat equity, home ownership education, home purchase process, adjustment to new responsibilities and continued partnership with the organization. The committee is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating this aspect of the program.
 

Time commitment: as needed.

Work to continually improve the community's awareness of our work and our role in helping alleviate the substandard housing in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. Help in the planning and coordinating of special events and fundraisers including Habitat's annual meeting, event builds (ie Women Build, Build-A-Thon), and other events as needed.

To cultivate Pensacola Habitat For Humanity's relationship with local churches and faith groups, seek faith partners, and maintain ties to currently involved churches and faith groups.
