Non-Construction
Swinging a hammer is not the only way to volunteer at Habitat! Due to the tremendous amount of planning and management required to build just one home, we have a constant need for committee members and volunteers to help with various other tasks. Many of our younger volunteers (under the age of 16) and families who'd like to volunteer together opt to help out here... You don't need to be an expert in any of these fields to help out! There are many tasks that require only a willingness to learn and work with others.
Listed below are some of the non-construction volunteer opportunities.

- Family Finance Assistant —
This volunteer position will help improve the efficiency of communication with our partner families. Through their tasks, the volunteer will help the Finance Department keep up with grant requirements as well as freeing up Finance Staff to focus on other tasks at hand. The volunteers work will also help keep the office organized and will increase the morale of everyone in the office.
- Member of Speakers Bureau —
This volunteer position will help develop a group of well-informed volunteers to speak on behalf of the Pensacola Habitat for Humanity program.
- Neighborhood Research Assistant —
This volunteer position will help develop and maintain data sets and information that assist Pensacola Habitat in understanding the existing conditions and revitalization needs of neighborhoods and communities within Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties.
- Volunteer Department Assistant —
This volunteer position will assist the Volunteer Department in the organizing and tracking of all volunteer hours, data entry, filing and organizing spreadsheets, writing thank you letters to volunteer groups, and administration of volunteer surveys.
| ReStore — Retail outlet store |

- ReStore donations vehicle driver —
Both ReStores need volunteers to drive our donations pick-up vehicles one or two days a week usually for 2-4 hours. Sometimes you will need to assist in loading donated materials into the donations vehicle, so the ablility to safely lift 50 lbs is desired.
- ReStore in-store volunteers —
Both ReStores are always looking for volunteers to work in the store. Check the ReStore page on this site for more information.
